The Beginning

There is never a shortage of God’s goodness, and most of us have a story to tell about just how good that goodness is.

I’ve had the privilege of hearing many stories and testimonies of success, failure, and trials throughout my life. What I learned is we can all grow from one another’s mistakes. We gain freedom by telling our stories. 

Something that has continued to stand out to me during this process is when I was little my grandmother would say, “be a lady” or “that’s not ladylike.” While that was a great teaching and something I have implemented with my daughters, I was unaware of the weight that small phrase carried.

“Be a lady.”

Now I know what a tall order that is. Here at NNKB we know of the monumental task it is to be a lady, and we see all the world's influences that tell you what that should look like, along with all the tough decisions we have to make daily!

That’s where NaeNae Knows Best comes in. I wanted to create a place for you to share, listen, and be encouraged to pursue your dreams to live a life of fullness. Every person has a story that will impact at least one other person. NaeNae Knows Best is a platform for not only myself and my team to share testimonies with you, but for you to share with us as well. I want you to know that I have struggled with finding myself and remaining true to God throughout the seasons of life, too. Learning a lot during each of the seasons, albeit the hard way–maybe because of stubbornness, can I get an amen?–there were times when I just needed someone to listen without judgment. I didn’t need advice, someone to take my side, or to pity me, but just someone who would listen. 

Well, we are listening!

We want the walls, lies, and obstacles that hinder you from moving forward to be torn down! Whether it's career, relationships, entrepreneurship, the stay-at-home mom role, parenting, not wanting children, fertility, school, or just the daily struggle, we’ve all been there; and we want to talk about it!
